
Once it has restarted, you will need to hold down the Option key until a boot menu appears. In order to switch to Boot Camp on a Mac, you will need to first restart your computer. Boot Camp Assistant can generate a bootable USB drive for Windows installation by using this tool. Inserting a USB drive into your Mac is not a problem if you are prompted to do so. Follow the instructions on the screen as they are presented. From here, you can select which operating system you want to use as the default.īoot Camp Assistant is located in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder. To do this, open Boot Camp Control Panel from the Windows Start menu and click on the Startup Disk tab. You can also set the default operating system to either macOS or Windows in Boot Camp Control Panel. To boot into Windows, hold down the Option key until the Boot Camp Manager appears.

If you want to start up from macOS, simply let go of the keys when you see the Apple logo.


When you hear the startup chime, release the keys. If you’re running Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp, you can quickly switch between the two operating systems by pressing and holding the Option (⌥) key during startup.
